LET US MAKE A COVENANT BEFORE THE LORD!

05-28-07

Vincent Xavier

The Bible tells a story of Gods people who had entered into a covenant to seek the Lord. A prophetic word had come to the king and because of that word he called the people together in Jerusalem and there called forth a SEASON OF SEEKING. This story can be read in 2Cronicles 15:1-15.

The remnant of God, which according to Scripture is the minority of believers whose hearts are truly turned to the Lord, are desperately desiring to seek the Lord once again in this most critical hour. The Spirit of the Lord would call forth a season of seeking the Lord with our whole heart and desire. This covenant can be entered into joyfully. According to the above Scripture verses the people entered into this seeking season with great joy and it was such an intense covenant that it was decreed that whoever did not seek the Lord would be put to death whether small or great male or female.

This season of seeking that the Spirit is calling forth is not for anything but GOD. Too often people fast and pray to change things they think need changing and they seek to change them after what their imagination and thoughts think is right. However, due to the GROSS DARKNESS that has descended upon the masses and the thick darkness and deception that is prevalent around the world, it is necessary that Gods people seek the Lord and the Lord alone.

As we search for the Lord, His will, His mind, His heart, His desire, His all and all then we are assured that our work and energy and time will be spent doing the right things. I am reminded of the division of the twelve tribes and how one of those parts was called Israel and the other Judah. They both held to a name that belonged to God, but it was the majority (Israel) that was steeped in Sin and degradation. They had no idea that they were fighting against God. They had become idolaters and pagan worshippers. They had baked their cakes to the Queen of Heaven and poured out their oblations unto her. These people were deeply deceived and truth had no place in their hearts so they remained under the curse of disobedience. Today the majority of Christians are fighting causes THEY THINK are right, but in fact are contrary to the mind and will of God. Today the majority is fighting to keep the systems of men moving to protect their wealth and prosperity which in reality is nothing but debt. Nonetheless, the masses, the majority want to see things held up. They want to keep the system, even though it is contrary to Gods mind and will, standing!

We are in danger as a society for we have not understood the heart of the Father. We have mistaken God to be a sugar daddy and we have thought that our positive speech and confession is the way we are to live. Listen! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a deception to the one who does not obey it! There are multitudes sitting in churches today that are on the wide path that leads to destruction and they know it not and their teachers and pastors are on the same path and have not brought the people into covenant relationship with the Lord God Almighty so that they may be separated from the world and be completely and totally restored! We must have our minds and hearts washed from an evil conscience dear friends, not in a religious or legalistic way, but through the very blood and water that flowed from the side of our Lord Jesus Christ upon Calvary’s tree.

We are in need of true light! We need revelation, not so that we can boast in our revelation, but that by revelation we may find our way into the bosom of the Father and there rejoice and be glad. We have been duped into believing false doctrines and apostate teachings. We have succumbed to a Gospel that has no power and no conviction that leads to true repentance and brokenness. If there is no repentance there will be no revival! All the fasting and praying in the world will produce no fruit if we are not fasting and praying about the right things and for the right causes. I dare to say that most Christians to day in America are fasting and praying for America, when America has turned its back on God as far as institutional and political agendas are concerned. However, rather that injecting my own thoughts and beliefs about what we should do, I believe the call of the Spirit to the Church today, especially the remnant is to SEEK THE LORD! We have a great promise, that if we seek Him we will find Him, and once we have found Him we will know exactly what to do and how to do it. We will know where to stand and stand we will do because we stand in his name!

Please read 2Cronicles 15:1-15. Let the words and purposes become integrated into your life today. Begin this week with a fresh commitment to seek the Lord alone. Do not ask for anything for yourself! Do not seek to be accepted by God! Seek nothing But the Creator of the Universe. You will certainly find Him and then you will dance and sing and shout for joy and you will become the greatest threat to the Kingdom of Darkness and you will turn things around for the glory of God. Once we have His mind we will receive power to accomplish His work. All of our own soul power in the whole world will only deepen the deception and darkness if we do not first have the Lords mind.

Now the Scripture declares that we have the mind of Christ. Let us agree with this and seek to know that mind and think the thoughts of that mind. A very great and wonderful thing will happen as each one of us begin to seek the Lord during this season and that is that we will experience a cleansing baptism in our innermost parts. The Lord will rejoice over us for our determination to find him and as we seek him he will undo afflictions, break bondages and destroy yokes and curses. He will heal us from our diseases and deliver us from our enemies. THE LORD WILL DO IT!!

A final note; I believe Lou Engle is a true man of God. I believe his call to the nation to fast and pray for the next forty days should be entered in upon by every true believer. I believe it would be great if all believers would rally to Nashville on 7-7-7 this year to complete the forty day fast. The only thing I would add is that our fasting and praying should be for the sole purpose of SEEKING THE LORD. I am sure that afterwards on that seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh year of the New Millennium WE WILL HEAR FROM GOD, and as the Scriptures declare in2 Chronicles, WE SHALL HAVE REST ROUND ABOUT!

Blessings in Christ Jesus our Lord
